Detailed: 19-Day Uganda, Kenya and Namibia Adventure
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Welcome to Uganda. Your guide meets you at Entebbe International Airport and drives you to Protea Hotel Entebbe. The hotel sits beside Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake. Check in, enjoy a cool drink, and rest after your flight. The 19-Day Uganda, Kenya and Namibia Adventure begins with a calm afternoon.
Later, walk through the Entebbe Botanical Gardens. Black-and-white colobus monkeys swing through the trees, and hornbills call overhead. Your guide then hosts a welcome briefing and reviews trekking tips. Dinner follows at the lake’s edge. Try tilapia with matooke, a classic Ugandan meal.
Days 2-3: Jinja, Nile Rafting and Basoga Culture
After breakfast on Day 2, you drive east to Jinja, the adventure capital of East Africa. The journey takes about three hours. The road crosses lively trading towns and green tea hills. You check in at The Haven Lodge, which sits beside the Nile. Lunch on the riverbank prepares you for the adventure ahead.
In the afternoon, visit a Basoga village near Jinja. Local families show you how they farm, cook, and weave. You can taste fresh matooke and sip local tea. Their warm welcome adds a human touch to the river adventure. Return to the lodge for dinner and an early night.
On Day 3, meet your rafting guides at the river. They give a clear safety briefing and fit your helmet and life jacket. Then you paddle into the rapids. White-water rafting on the Nile ranks among the best in the world. You tackle Grade 3 to Grade 5 rapids with expert guidance.
Calm stretches between rapids let you swim and rest. Safety kayakers travel beside every raft. Afterwards, enjoy a hot lunch on the riverbank. In the late afternoon, take a gentle boat trip to the source of the Nile. The spot marks where Lake Victoria feeds the great river. Birdlife is rich here, and the water feels peaceful.

Days 4-5: Kibale Forest and Chimpanzees
On Day 4, you drive west toward Kibale, about six hours away. The road crosses the equator, where you stop for a photo. Green hills, tea estates, and busy trading towns fill the windows. Kibale Forest Lodge welcomes you with a cool drink. In the late afternoon, join a guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.
Local community guides lead you along a raised boardwalk. You may spot red colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and colourful birds. Fees from the walk support nearby schools. Return to the lodge for dinner by the fire.
Rise early on Day 5 for chimpanzee trekking. Rangers lead you into the forest to find a habituated troop. You hear loud calls long before you see the chimps. Then you watch them feed, groom, and play. You spend one hour with them.
In the afternoon, visit a Batooro community near the forest. Local hosts show you how they cook, weave, and farm. You can taste traditional dishes and learn a few words of Rutooro. Their stories celebrate the old Toro kingdom.
Days 6-7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
On Day 6, you drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, about two and a half hours away. The road passes crater lakes and rolling farmland. You check in at Mweya Safari Lodge, which sits on a peninsula. Lunch comes with views over the Kazinga Channel. Hippos wallow below the terrace.
In the late afternoon, set out on a game drive across the Kasenyi plains. Uganda kob, buffalo, elephants, and sometimes lions roam here. The light turns golden as the sun drops. Return to the lodge for a sundowner on the terrace.
On Day 7, board a boat on the Kazinga Channel. Hippos, crocodiles, and elephants gather along the banks. Pelicans, kingfishers, and fish eagles fill the sky. The cruise feels calm and close to nature.
For culture, visit the Katwe salt lake, where villagers still harvest salt by hand. Local guides explain how families have worked this lake for generations. Return to the lodge for dinner and an early night.
Days 8-9: Bwindi and the Gorillas
On Day 8, you drive south to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector. Tree-climbing lions sometimes rest in the fig trees there. The road then climbs into the misty Kigezi highlands. You reach your lodge by late afternoon. Dinner follows by the fire. Rest well, because gorillas await tomorrow.
After breakfast on Day 9, you attend a briefing at the park headquarters. Rangers assign you to a gorilla family. Then you hike through dense forest with trackers and porters. The trek can last two to six hours. The effort feels worthwhile the moment you see the first silverback.
You spend one hour with the gorillas. Mothers cradle infants, and young males tumble through the leaves. Your permit supports conservation and the local community. In the afternoon, join a Batwa cultural experience. The Batwa lived in this forest for thousands of years. They show you how they hunted, made fire, and gathered honey.
Day 10: Bwindi to Nairobi
After breakfast, you drive to Kihihi airstrip, about ninety minutes away. A scheduled flight takes you to Entebbe. There you connect to a flight to Nairobi. The journey takes about one hour. Our team assists with check-in and transfers at each step.
You arrive in Nairobi by evening, and your driver takes you to Ole Sereni Hotel. The hotel overlooks Nairobi National Park, so zebras and giraffes often graze in view. Enjoy a Kenyan dinner of nyama choma and ugali. Rest well, because the Mara awaits.
Days 11-13: Masai Mara Game Drives and Maasai Culture
On Day 11, stop at the Giraffe Centre in Karen. You feed Rothschild’s giraffes from a raised platform. Then you drive west across the Great Rift Valley. The road climbs the escarpment, and the views stretch for miles. By late afternoon, you reach Mara Serena Safari Lodge.
Days 12 and 13 belong to the Mara. You leave at sunrise with a packed breakfast, because big cats hunt in the cool early hours. Your guide positions the vehicle for the best sightings and photographs. Lions, cheetahs, and elephants roam the plains. Between July and October, wildebeest gather at the Mara River. Midday brings a picnic lunch beside a hippo pool.
For culture, visit a Maasai village near the reserve. The community welcomes you with a traditional jumping dance. You learn how families build homes, make fire, and care for cattle. Moreover, you can try beadwork with the women’s cooperative. Purchases from the craft market go directly to local households.
Each evening, return to the lodge for a sundowner on the terrace. The sky turns orange and purple while hyenas call in the distance. On one night, join a Maasai storytelling session by the fire.
Day 14: Masai Mara to Windhoek
After a final morning game drive, you board a scheduled flight to Nairobi. The flight offers sweeping views of the Rift Valley. Our team assists with check-in and transfers at every step. Then you connect to a flight toward Windhoek, Namibia. The route usually passes through Johannesburg.
You arrive by evening, and your driver takes you to your hotel. Namibia’s capital feels clean, calm, and spacious. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Try game dishes such as oryx or kudu if you feel adventurous. The 19-Day Uganda, Kenya and Namibia Adventure now shifts from savannah to desert.
Days 15-16: Sossusvlei and the Namib Desert
On Day 15, you drive south toward the Namib Desert, about five hours away. The road crosses open plains and rocky hills. You reach your desert lodge by late afternoon. The lodge sits among red dunes and acacia trees. Enjoy a sundowner as the light turns the sand orange. Dinner follows under a sky packed with stars.
Rise before dawn on Day 16 and drive into Sossusvlei. Climb Dune 45 or Big Daddy as the sun rises. The sand glows deep red against the blue sky. Then walk to Deadvlei, a white clay pan dotted with ancient black trees. Photographers love this surreal scene.
In the afternoon, visit Sesriem Canyon, a narrow gorge carved by the Tsauchab River. Return to the lodge for a relaxed evening. For culture, ask your hosts about the San people, the region’s first inhabitants. Their tracking skills and plant knowledge shaped life in the desert for thousands of years.
Days 17-18: Etosha National Park
On Day 17, you drive to Etosha National Park, a long day of about eight hours with stops. The road crosses open farmland and distant hills. You check in at Etosha Safari Lodge by late afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a floodlit waterhole visit. Elephants, rhinos, and lions often drink under the lights.
Day 18 offers a full day of game drives. Rise early, because predators hunt in the cool air. The park surrounds a vast white salt pan. Waterholes draw elephants, lions, and giraffes. Black rhinos often appear at dusk. Zebras and springbok graze in large herds.
Birdlife is rich, with raptors, ostriches, and colourful rollers. After a picnic lunch, visit more waterholes. Patience often rewards you with lions, leopards, or hyenas. The lodge team can also share stories of nearby Owambo and Herero communities. Return for a farewell dinner under the stars.

Etosha National Park
Day 19: Etosha to Windhoek and Departure
After a final morning game drive, you transfer to Windhoek. The drive takes about five hours, with a lunch stop along the way. The road passes small towns and open farmland. Our team schedules the transfer so you arrive in good time for your flight.
You leave with full memories, strong friendships, and a deeper bond with Africa. The 19-Day Uganda, Kenya and Namibia Adventure ends here. However, the connection with Terenga Africa continues long after you land. Many guests return to trek gorillas in Rwanda or explore Tanzania’s Serengeti.
